NBS Recovery Plus

NBS Recovery+ is formulated to address all aspects of optimal recovery: rehydration, glycogen replenishment and amino acid delivery.
We start with the same formula as our NBS Recovery and add a mixture of sugars that provide you with a 2:1 ratio of carbs to protein. You simply mix NBS Recovery+ with water and go.
NBS RECOVERY VS. NBS RECOVERY+
While both of our signature products can be used for optimal recovery, there are a couple of differences you may want to take into consideration when choosing which one is right for you.
Carbohydrate For Glycogen Replenishment
If you use NBS Recovery after a workout, you will need to add carbohydrate to help facilitate glycogen replenishment. Recovery+ eliminates the need to add carbohydrate as we provide it for you in the product.
While NBS Recovery+ is convenient, we do not suggest you use it outside of what we call the 3-hour sugar window. This is the 2 hours prior to your workout and the 1 hour after your workout when your body will either use what you ingest for energy or store it as glycogen for your next workout. Outside of that time, the excess sugar might not be the best source of carbohydrate to support your goals.
NBS Recovery can be used outside of the 3-hour window to help meet your specific protein requirements. Simply add a serving to your favorite smoothie for a snack or on the go meal.

We do not use a “protein blend”
Current research shows that a combination of proteins (whey, soy, casein) provides a greater benefit than whey protein alone. This is due to the absorption rate of each type of protein (whey = fast, soy = medium, casein = slow) and the sustained rate of amino acids the combination provides. Some companies choose to manipulate the valid research by creating protein blends for their products. These blends are usually a combination of whey, casein and third option like soy, egg or milk. The third options are all cheap in terms of cost to the manufacturer. Unfortunately, when a blend is created there is no way to know exactly how much of each type of protein the product contains, and it is not uncommon for the blend to be made up of mostly cheaper product and then dusted with the more expensive WPI and casein.
It is for this reason we do not use a blend, but instead a combination of proteins listed separately on our label.
Each serving of NBS Recovery+ provides you 10g of protein from:
- 7.5 grams of whey protein isolate, instant
- 3.5 grams of micellar casein 85, instant
What you will not find in our products:
We work hard to bring you a line of products that provide over 99% active ingredients. While some of our raw goods contain minimal amounts of inactive ingredients to help guard against clumping, we never backfill our product with:
- Fillers: oils, food starch or cellulose.
- Flow or Thickening Agents: magnesium stearate, carrageenan or guar/xanthan gum.
- Anything Artificial: dyes, xylitol, sucralose or acesulfame potassium.
Mix 1 -2 servings in 6 – 8 oz. of cold water. You can adjust the amount of water based on your desired thickness.
Consume 1 serving 30 minutes prior to workouts to elevate circulating blood amino acid levels and glucose. This may help you retain lean tissue, provide immediate energy for intense workouts and help you recover faster during heavier periods of training.
NBS Tip – Mix 1 serving in a cup of black coffee before training.
Consume 2 servings immediately after training.
NBS Tip – use as a recovery facilitator. Consume 1 serving immediately after training and then a balanced whole food meal 30 minutes later. This is perfect for those late evening workouts when you need a little something before dinner.
